Templates are used in programs like Excel and Google Sheets to save time when creating the same type of file repeatedly, like a weekly log or expense report. In Excel or Google Sheets, a template is a file that is saved with a different file extension and serves as a basis for new files. The template file contains a variety of content and settings that are applied to the new files created from the template.
Google spreadsheet budget template allows you to create an annual budget with itemized income and expenses for each month. You can use this template for budget planning, as part of an annual review, for making future projections, and for comparing business performance on a monthly or annual basis. List your income and expenses, and the template will calculate the totals for each category as well as your net income.
Managing a list in a spreadsheet is a great example of data that does not contain numbers, but still can be used in a spreadsheet. Great examples of spreadsheet lists include telephone, to-do, and grocery lists.
